Great food, with pretty good portions. Very kind, well mannered and Friendly staff, and beautiful atmosphere. The wait wasn’t too bad and didn't hinder much. Great price for the portions of food. Would really recommend.
We visited the restaurant for lunch on Sunday after spending a wonderful few hours at the Edmonton Orchid Fair. Although the restaurant has been on the very location since 1958, this was my first visit! There were four of us. The orders were - 1) vegetarian cheese omelette with dollar potatoes and rye toast on the side; 2) sunny side up, ham, dollar potatoes with brown toasts; 3) sunny side up, sausage, dollar potatoes with brown toasts; 4) scrambled egg, sausage, dollar potatoes with brown toasts. The quantity was sumptuous and fresh off the grill. Taste was excellent, especially, the dollar potatoes! Our server was Cassandra was excellent in her service. We will definitely go back.
When you're looking for a traditional 1950s diner breakfast, this is the place to go. Straightforward eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, toast and coffee. No flair, no food staging just the basics. Food came out hot and tasty. Generous portions (more than we could eat). Dining area and tables were clean and staff was very friendly. If you have a hankering for an 'old school' diner, I highly recommend checking them out.
Looking for that old school diner experience? Go to The Saratoga! The draw was the Pork chops and eggs, someone had a craving. I'm told this dish was excellent and scratched the itch. Portions are very generous. I ordered Fish and chips, good price for a 2 piece Haddock meal, fish was tender and flaky, batter was nicely seasoned. Came with a bowl of Home made Thai Chicken soup, so good I forgot to take a picture. The service was excellent and efficient, the server worked the room like a cleverly choreographed dance number. Full room and no one was left wanting or waiting. I recommend checking out the piece of Edmonton history.
We came here for the first time on Christmas Eve for Turkey dinner. It was excellent Today, we decided to have breakfast for New Year's Day. The Hash Browns and Poached eggs were delicious! I like my sausages very well done and the waitress didn't hesitate on making certain I received them that way. The atmosphere is lovely, the service is outstanding and the food is served HOT and quickly! Very pleased. Highly Recommended!
Great place to enjoy their meals with quite and relax atmosphere. Most important obviously service and they have a beautiful, kind woman like Cassandra! All was perfect if we say about restaurants in this segment, but I hope furniture will be renewed

Me and my fiance came here for Brunch. The place gives you the 'home' vibes and the booths are very comfortable. My fiance always likes her breakfast, so she ordered sausages, over easy eggs and shredded hash browns. She said it was very good. I ordered the 'Saratoga Burger's which was huge. The portion of fries wasn't much but good enough with the size of the burger. I would say the burger was okay but filling. I did order their dollar potatoes and they were good, like homemade chips. Overall this place has okay portions, their service is fast, friendly and professional, and their food is good. I would come back for sure.
